Event Details

Ann JonesMembers, supporters, and all those interested are invited to join Massachusetts Peace Action at our 2011 Annual Meeting.

Ann Jones, the author who documented Afghan women’s lives in the searing Kabul in Winter, will speak on ending the Afghanistan war and Afghan women’s human rights.

We will also intensively discuss the campaign to fund our Massachusetts communities by cutting the military budget, Peace Action’s new strategy in the campaign for nuclear disarmament, and the drums beating for war with Iran.

Please register for the conference so we know how many to expect, and from what communities. For part of the afternoon we will divide into small groups by regions of the state.

Massachusetts Peace Action

Massachusetts Peace Action is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization working to develop the sustained political power to foster a more just and peaceful U.S. foreign policy.

Through grassroots organizing, policy advocacy, and community education, we promote human rights and global cooperation, seek an end to war and the spread of nuclear weapons, and support budget priorities that re-direct excessive military spending to meeting human and environmental needs in our communities.
